GUZZI and MR. PLOD's happy ending - Erni

GUZZI - last one of litter of pups, all siblings were adopted, he was left behind at shelter.  I was supposed to foster him until he found a good home.  Well, obviously I am not good at fostering, since he very quickly became my "Permanent Foster Child".  Although Guzzi was not on the cards, I was really not looking for another dog, I would not part with him ever!  He is the clown in the family, very spritely and sprints around the whole garden at a high speed (his full name is Moto Guzzi).  At my stressful job, he became my Comic Relief dog and provides me with much needed laughs throughout the day.

MR PLOD - after I had to part with my old boy Cub because of stomach cancer, I was looking for another old oaf to make my family complete.  I found a black Labrador at the local SPCA which was dropped off there to be euthanized.  Owners were moving away and could not or did not want to take him with them.  After taking him to my vet for a "Major Service" (including x-rays of spine, hips etc - I always do that with my oldies), we found out that his hips are rather shot.  Although he is only 8 years old, which is not ancient for a labby, his bones are "old" and I am so grateful that he came to me to provide him with his Forever Home, because he will get all the necessary treatment to help with his hips and lots of love and hugs and kisses.  He fitted into my family like a glove. My other dogs are very comfortable around him and there is no fighting whatsoever. Now let me ask you :  Where can you BUY an old dog that makes your life and family complete?
